(Northern Ireland Cup, Quarter Final)

This seasons Northern Ireland Cup began at the Quarter Final stage, and Knocknamuckley had to travel to local neighbours Tartarahagn for their first game in the competition. Knocknamuckley are of course the defending Northern Irelnad Cup champions after some fine wins last season, and hoped to defend their title, continuing the comapny's fine tradition in this sport.

Knocknamuckley got off to a confident start, and comfortably took the opening set by a convincing margin.

First Set 5th Portadown 18 v 25 1st Knocknamuckley

The second set was a slightly tighter affair, but Muckley managed to triumph by another comfortable margin.

Second Set 5th Portadown 25 v 22 1st Knocknamuckley

In the third set Knocknamuckley again looked comforatable and at ease, as they closed out the third set, and with it the match.

Third Set 5th Portadown 21 v 25 1st Knocknamuckley

This was a convincing win from the defending champions, and they will hope to try and move up through the gears as the competition progresses. Graham Cowan had a good game, with some strong serving and accurate setting, and Matthew Kimmons also impressed, with some good strikes.
