U-14 v Ahorey
(7-a-side, League Stage)
30/10/2007

Having won two out of two so far in this seasons competition, Knocknamuckley entered this game against Ahorey full of confidence.

Ahorey put Knocknamuckley under some great early pressure, but Muckley were able to soak this up and actually took the lead. A Muckley corner was headed out by the Ahorey defence, only to fall to Brooke Love who fired home.

Ian Irwin doubled the lead when played through by a good pass from Joshua Black, and Irwin made no mistake in putting his shot away.

Neill Adamson found himself one on one with the goalkeeper, and after having been in this position already in the match, he made up for previous misses with a super goal.

Half time 1st Knocknamuckley 3 v 0 Ahorey

Adamson got his second of the game to make the score 4-0. This was Noker's third goal in two games.

Another convincing win was rounded off with a fifth goal. Thomas Chambers tirelessly pressurised the player on the ball. He dispossessed the Ahorey player, but was lucky when the ball rebounded back towards him. Tommy cushioned the ball down with his chest, allowing him to strike the ball on the volley, and fire it into the top right hand corner of the net, giving the goalkeeper no chance, for a fantastic goal. The whole team congratulated the popular Chambers for a goal which his three performances this season have fully deserved.

If Knocknamuckley can continue this form they should be confident of beating any body, as there have been strong performances throughout the team so far in the first three games, which they must strive to maintain.

Full time 1st Knocknamuckley 5 v 0 Ahorey

Team- Stewart; Chambers, Black, N.Adamson; I.Irwin, Love; Uprichard: Lavery, Stringer.

Goals- Love, I.Irwin, N.Adamson 2, Chambers.

No matter how unlikely it seems, and probably never gonna happen again, BUT...he did!! There are eye witnesses! The only shame is that it wasn't caught on camera.
