This is an official public statement from the Knocknamuckley Militant Action Group. As many readers will be aware, we are a paramilitary organisation dedicated to defending and sustaining, by use of force or otherwise, BB morals and the Biblicly-based policies of 1st Knocknamuckley’s leadership. Our membership is widespread and influencial, however, in this our first public statement since the 1988 feud, no further membership details will be disclosed.
We, KMAG, are perplexed and angered at the current situation regarding the U18 football team’s management and we feel obliged to resolve it. We have prioritised the challenge of resolving this unfortunate and thus far fruitless dispute, with an objective solely compatible with BB principals. This is a declaration to the various factions in this quarrel that KMAG is now in charge of the situation; after several threats that we may intervene, we now consider that there is no alternative. KMAG would therefore utter sincere warning against any individuals who, from the date of the publication of this statement, interfere with our work as they will be reprimanded.
We align ourselves with the wider Muckley BB community in our sadness and disbelief at the corruption and general discourteous behaviour of the 08/09 management staff, particularly in recent weeks. KMAG considers such behaviour to be unacceptable and calls upon those responsible to “pay up”, and to do so sooner rather than later. A new management team is being considered in our negotiations with the board of directors. No further details about the content or nature of these talks with the board will be disclosed at this stage.
However, while a new management team may be summoned for next season, KMAG, as true men of Muckley, cannot and will not support the candidacy of Methodist coach Kenny Venard. We consider it abhorrent that members of Knocknamuckley’s board have approached Venard on the subject; furthermore, we strongly recommend that, in the interests of personal safety, these people persue this notion no longer. KMAG would like to make it clear to Venard and any other outsiders that they are not welcome at Muckley.
We regret the fact that we have had to step in to handle this predicament ourselves, however no other solution was visible. Heads may roll, knee caps may be destroyed, cars may be burnt out; but KMAG will come through with a solution and Muckley will be champions once again.
Sure and Steadfast. No Surrender
